The Blue Igloo Playgroup

Blue Igloo’s Penguin Program offers afternoon activities and free-play sessions for children ages 6 months through 3 years in our Georgetown facility. Sessions run from mid-September through May in 6 to 8 week sessions but you are welcome to register at any time if space exists! Different classes will be offered each session and registration is first-come, first-served. Music and Freeplay Fun
Enjoy playing and running in Blue Igloo’s matted indoor space, complete with transportation toys, foam climbers, tunnels and dress-up clothes. Additionally children will be able to explore music and movement through the use of teacher led activities, songs, instruments, books and games. This will provide children with the opportunity to socialize and engage fine and gross motor skills while having tons of fun!

Cost
Each class in a given session costs $130 per child for Music and Freeplay Fun.
Registration

- Once your confirmation email is received mail your completed registration form (or printed copy of email) with a liability waiver and check to:

Location
Classes will be held in Blue Igloo’s kid friendly facility located at 2600 P Street, NW, in Georgetown, in the basement of the Jerusalem Baptist Church. The door to the basement is located at the bottom of the steps on 26th street; please be careful on the steps as they can be slippery.
Policies
- A parent or caregiver must attend with each child, and must stay on site the entire class time. Parents/caregivers are required to supervise their child, especially during the Freeplay Fun session.
- All children who are of an eligible age for a class must be paid registrants if they are going to be in the Blue Igloo space during the class time.
- Any child who displays or has displayed symptoms of sickness within the past 24 hours may not attend class.
- All participants must sign a Blue Igloo Liability Waiver to participate.
- No refunds will be given once the session begins.
- Registration is first-come, first-served.
- Separate forms must be completed for each child.
- Should the class you request be full at the time that your registration is received you will be contacted and may choose to be put on a waitlist or choose an age-appropriate class where space does exist.
- Blue Igloo follows DC Public Schools for weather related closures, and occasionally Blue Igloo will close because of a funeral in the church. Should this happen, you will be notified by email. A voucher will be given for use in one of our Freeplay fun sessions.
